Offer Trydanol i Hyfforddi Cŵn
Mae Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru yn condemnio gwerthu, cynhyrchu, llogi, benthyg, mewnforio neu ddefnyddio offer trydanol i hyfforddi a rheoli cŵn, ac eithrio ffensys trydan, sy’n gweithredu ar egwyddor wahanol; yn ystyried bod defnyddio offer o’r fath yn greulon ac yn ddianghenraid; yn deall bod dulliau hyfforddi cadarnhaol yn hyfforddi cŵn yn gynt ac yn fwy dibynadwy; yn cydnabod, oherwydd bod gan gŵn berthynas mor glos â phobl, bod modd defnyddio eu greddf naturiol i’w hyfforddi’n rhwydd; ac yn galw ar Lywodraeth y Cynulliad i gyflwyno gwaharddiad llwyr ar werthu, cynhyrchu, llogi, benthyg, mewnforio neu ddefnyddio offer hyfforddi trydanol.
Electric Dog Training Devices
The National Assembly for Wales condemns the sale, manufacture, hire, loan, importation or use of electric training devices to train and control dogs, with the exception of electric fences, which operate on a different principle; considers the use of such devices to be cruel and unnecessary; understands positive training methods train dogs more quickly and reliably; recognises that because dogs have a strong bond with humans, their natural instincts can be utilised to train them easily; and calls upon the Assembly Government to introduce a complete ban on the sale, manufacture, hire, loan, importation or use of electric training devices.

Offer Trydanol i Hyfforddi Cwn
Ac ystyried nad oes gan Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru bwer i wahardd gwerthu, cynhyrchu, llogi, benthyg na mewnforio coleri cwn sy’n rhoi sioc drydanol, yr ydym yn croesawu ymrwymiad y Gweinidog dros Gynaliadwyedd a Datblygu Gwledig i gynnal ymgynghoriad llawn ar y mater hwn ac edrychwn ymlaen at y diwrnod pan fydd defnyddio’r offer arteithio hyn wedi’i wahardd yng Nghymru.
Electric Dog Training Devices
Given that the National Assembly for Wales does not have the power to ban the sale, manufacture, hire, loan or importation of electric shock dog collars, we welcome the commitment of the Minister for Sustainability and Rural Development to undertake a full consultation on this matter and look forward to the day when the use of these instruments of torture are banned in Wales.
