What is the Committee’s remit?

The Committee was established on 22 June 2016 to carry out the functions set out in Standing Orders 18.2 and 18.3 and consider any other matter that relates to the economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which resources are employed in the discharge of public functions in Wales

How does the Committee choose its inquiries?

The Committee usually bases its inquiries on value for money reports from the Auditor General for Wales. The Committee also initiates its own inquiries and takes account of representations from interest groups and the general public in relation to issues of public spending that fall within its remit.

Can the Committee help with my individual case?

The Committee is not able to investigate individual cases or assist individuals with seeking redress. Members of the public who are seeking such assistance should contact their Member of the Senedd.

Can I watch Committee evidence session online?

Yes, all our sessions are available to watch on www.senedd.tv, either live or from the archive.
