Policy Objectives of the proposed Bill:
To provide for improvements to inland bathing water quality, including placing duties on water companies to take all reasonable steps to ensure untreated sewage is not discharged into inland waters and setting statutory targets to increase the number of inland bathing waters classed as “good” or “excellent”.
