Mental Health Inequalities

The Health and Social Care Committee is holding an inquiry into mental health inequalities in Wales.

The inquiry is looking at which groups of people are more likely to experience mental health inequalities and the barriers they face.

It will also look at whether the Welsh Government’s policies do enough to recognise and address current needs.

In this evidence session, discussion explored how communities and society can promote and support our mental health and wellbeing.

Giving evidence were:

  • Ewan Hilton, Chief Executive - Platfform
  • Dr Jen Daffin, Community Clinical Psychologist - Psychologists for Social Change
  • Professor Rob Poole, Professor of Social Psychiatry - Centre for Mental Health and Society at Bangor University
