National Assembly for Wales Outreach Manager for north Wales held workshops entitled ‘Understanding and engaging with the Assembly’ last week. The first workshop was held in Parkfields Community Centre, Mold, for representatives from voluntary organisations and local communities from the Delyn constituency. This was followed by a similar workshop held in Llangefni’s Communities First Centre, Anglesey, for local voluntary organisations. Many issues were raised in both workshops including cross-border medical appointments, reopening old railway lines and homeless provision.  Participants received information about raising these issues with their Assembly Members and systems such as the Assembly’s Petitions Committee. These workshops are the first of many to be held across north Wales aimed at increasing awareness and creating partnerships with voluntary organisations across the region.
