Children, Young People and Education Committee

The Children, Young People and Education Committee set up by the Senedd to look at policy and legislation, and to hold the Welsh Government to account in specific areas. These areas include children and young people; education; and health, care services, and social care as they relate to children and young people. At the start the sixth Senedd, the Committee agreed its strategy, including its vision and objectives which underpin all the work that the Committee carries out. The Committee was established on 23 June 2021 to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by scrutinising its expenditure, administration and policy matters, encompassing (but not restricted to): the education, health and well-being of the children and young people of Wales, including their social care.
