Biography

Michelle Brown was a Member of the National Assembly for Wales between May 2016 and April 2021. This was her biography at the time she left.

Key interests and achievements

Michelle believes that north Wales can prosper, if given a fair chance, and she is passionate about fighting for the area to get the attention and investment it deserves. She states that she is a plain speaker and ‘will say it as it is - plain and simple.’

Personal history

Michelle is an animal lover. She grew up in Mostyn and graduated from Staffordshire University with a Law degree, Masters in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Her family have lived in the Holywell area since the early 1950s and she attended school locally, going to primary school in Holywell and attending St. Richard Gwyn High School in Flint.

Michelle still lives in Mostyn, having returned to Wales some years ago following a period working in the Midlands.

Professional background

Prior to becoming an Assembly member, Michelle worked as a legal advisor in the engineering sector, working for a global company dealing with a range of high value contracts.

Political history

In March 2019, Michelle left UKIP and became an Independent Assembly Member.
