In line with recent changes to the Welsh Government’s Covid-19 Alert Levels, the Senedd building has been opening in phases.

Currently, the Senedd building is open between Monday – Thursday, 09.00 – 16.30 or until the end of Senedd business, and you will need to book a free ticket to visit.

We’ll share our plans of opening the buildings on our social media and website, so remember to follow us there if you don’t already.

Tŷ Hywel is our office in Cardiff Bay where Members, their Support Staff and staff of the Senedd Commission work.

It is connected to the Senedd by a pair of skyways to give easy access to our key business rooms - but Tŷ Hywel also houses two of the committee rooms, many meeting rooms and our Education Suite which includes the old debating chamber now known as Siambr Hywel.

Things to do

The Senedd and Pierhead are fully accessible for all visitors.

For our disabled visitors, we offer pre-bookable car parking bays, ramps, lifts to all public area, and a lavatory with a hoist. Wheelchairs are available to borrow during your visit, and all public galleries have spaces for wheelchairs. Comfortable seating is also dotted throughout the building.

We have signage in braille, hearing induction loops on all reception desks and public galleries, and we welcome assistance dogs.
For visitors with autism and sensory differences: we welcome preparatory visits by carers and helpers, and have a quiet room available to use on request.
For non-binary visitors, we have gender-neutral toilets in both the Senedd and Pierhead for your convenience.
