Changes to the UK Benefits System

The National Assembly for Wales:

1. Deplores the UK Government's decision to reform the benefits system;

2.  Notes the repercussions - more people living in poverty, more families reliant on donated food, increased homelessness.

3. Notes the concerns expressed by the people of Wales over the UK Government's decision to reform the benefits system which has already led to many disabled people losing their disability benefits;

4. Calls on the First Minister to raise these concerns with the UK Prime Minister.
