Key Interests and achievements
Becca has a keen interest in social justice and poverty,
particularly in relation to child development; she focussed her dissertation on
“the effects of socio-economic deprivation on the health of a child”.
Personal history
Becca was born and brought up in Wrecsam where she attended
local schools before going on to Yale college and ultimately getting an honours
degree in Early Childhood Studies from Glyndwr University. Becca currently lives with her partner Mike
and son Charlie.
Professional background
Becca worked in an independent Jewellers shop in Wrecsam for
21 years and as county councillor on Wrecsam council for 5 years before being
elected to the Senedd.
Political history
Becca became a Plaid Cymru county councillor on Wrecsam
council representing the Maesydre ward in a by-election in March 2021. She was
re-elected to represent the new combined Acton and Maesydre ward in the 2022
local elections. Becca came fourth in the Westminster general elections in
Wrecsam in 2024 and was elected to the Senedd in 2026.
