Catherine was born in the South Wales Valleys. She was
elected to the Senedd in 2026 to represent Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and
Rhymney.
She worked in manufacturing, environmental and Health and
safety before becoming a Secondary School Teacher of Chemistry, Physics and
Biology. She has trained teachers coming through the university system and is
also a specialist in additional learning needs. She has a degree in Biology and
Music and a Masters in Special Educational Needs and also holds a degree in
Classics.
Her interests are early years, children, young people
and education, manufacturing, care of
the elderly, adoption services, addiction services, health services and
community arts. She is an advocate for free speech, faith and women and
childrens safety.
Catherine lives with her husband, 6 children and many
animals.
