Personal history
Educated at Bassaleg Comprehensive School, Josh went on to
study Classics at university, where Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2
accompanied him through many an all-night essay crisis. Josh is a UK citizen
first and immigrant second, and believes that only UK citizens should be able
to vote or stand in any UK election.
Professional background
Josh was previously a teaching assistant, an RE teacher at
an independent school, a French teacher at a state school, as well as working
through a supply agency in over a dozen schools across South Wales.
Political history
Concerned by mass immigration, Josh stood as a Reform
candidate in the 2024 General Election in Caerphilly, coming third. Josh was
Reform's number 3 candidate for Blaenau Gwent Caerffili Rhymni in the 2026
Senedd election & won the sixth seat by fewer than 250 votes, one of the
closest results of that election, against the expectations of many (polls had
suggested the sixth seat would go to Labour). Josh credits this victory to the
efforts of the local Branch's volunteers.
