Key Interests and achievements
Nick is focused on supporting his constituents through
listening and engaging with all communities across Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf,
especially those whose life outcomes are challenged by poverty. Supporting the needs, education and
opportunities for young people will also be a priority, along with promoting
action to tackle the climate emergency. He is also determined to focus on our
economy and support local independent businesses.
Personal history
Nick attended schools in Crickhowell, Haverfordwest and
Swansea and has lived and worked in Cardiff for over 20 years, making a home
with his wife and two daughters. He
studied at Liverpool Polytechnic, learned Welsh as an adult and completed an
MSc in Welsh Politics and Government at Cardiff University in 2021.
Professional background
Nick qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994 and worked as
a commercial property consultant in London and Bristol before co-founding his
own surveying business in Cardiff in 2006, specialising in town centre retail
property across Wales.
Political history
Nick was elected as an MS for Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf on 7 May
2026, his first political office.
