Changes to our website

We have just moved our website to a different system, and some people are experiencing difficulties with it. If you are having trouble, please email assembly.info@wales.gov.uk or call 0845 010 5500.

Changes to our website

Our website has moved to a new system that will allow for better searching of Assembly content. Later this year, our web address will be changing from www.assemblywales.org to www.assembly.wales.

Looking further into the future, we are also looking into how we inform people about what happens at the Assembly (in committees and Plenary, and about more general updates by email subscription). If you’d like to be involved in this process, please provide an email address here. Alternatively you can write to the Assembly using these contact details.

Better search functionality

From the start of September, the search functionality of the Assembly’s website will be slightly different. We are introducing additional features to help users of the site find information they are looking for more quickly and easily.

We will shortly be publishing guidance explaining the new search functionality, which parts of the website it affects and showing you how to use it.

Web address change

This year, Wales will be given its own website domain names - .cymru and .wales.

The National Assembly for Wales has taken a leading role in this development, by agreeing to be one of the ‘early adopters’ of the new domain names.

Later this year, we’re going to be changing our web address to www.cynulliad.cymru and www.assembly.wales.

Our email addresses will also be changing so that they take the form Rosemary.Butler@assembly.wales rather than Rosemary.Butler@wales.gov.uk. There will be a phased cross-over so you have time to update your address books.
