Presiding Officer backs Welsh rugby team for success in title decider

14 March 2013

The National Assembly for Wales’s Presiding Officer, Rosemary Butler AM, is backing Wales’s rugby team to beat England in the Six Nations title decider on Saturday (16 March).

Wales play England at the Millennium Stadium, and have to beat them by an eight-point margin in order to win the championship for the second year in succession.

“England’s result against Italy last weekend has set up a fantastic climax to this year’s Six Nations Championship,” the Presiding Officer said.

“The Welsh team had a slow start to this campaign but have improved with every game to get themselves into this position.

“I wish Rob Howley and the team all the best and hope that we will be celebrating another Welsh rugby success come Saturday night.”
