To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:

Notes the Enterprise and Learning Committee's report on The Welsh Assembly Government’s Response to the Current International Economic Downturn which was laid in the Table Office on 14 May 2009.

Note: The response of the Minister for Economy and Transport was laid in the Table Office on 24 June 2009.

The National Assembly for Wales:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to:

a) address patients’ concerns over IVF treatment in Wales.

b) work towards implementing NICE guidance in respect of IVF treatment cycles.

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales in accordance with Standing Order 23.24:

Agrees to the general principles of the Proposed Playing Fields (Community Involvement in Disposal Decisions) (Wales) Measure.

Note: The Proposed Playing Fields (Community Involvement in Disposal Decisions) (Wales) Measure and Explanatory Memorandum were laid before the Assembly on 18 July 2008.

The report of Legislation Committee No. 1 on the Proposed Playing Fields (Community Involvement in Disposal Decisions) (Wales) Measure was laid before the Assembly on 29 April 2009.

To propose that the Assembly resolves to adopt the following amendments to motions:

Delete all and replace with:

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:

1. Acknowledges  the concerns which affect all patients requiring IVF treatment;

2. Endorses the actions of the Welsh Assembly Government in working towards implementation of NICE guidance in respect of IVF treatment cycles on the basis of equal access in all parts of Wales;

3. Notes that further investment in this area has to be assessed in the wider context of other health service developments.
