NDM4658

1. Jane Hutt (Vale of Glamorgan)

Delete point 3 and replace with:

3. Notes that funding of over £2 million has been agreed for 2011-12 to take forward actions in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Strategic Action Plan for Wales; and

4. Notes that the Welsh Assembly Government is currently undertaking its own evaluation of the progress made on the Autism Spectrum Strategic Action Plan during its first two years, that this evaluation will identify areas that need to be expanded on or improved on and that the findings of the NASC Report The Life We Choose will be considered in drawing up the evaluation report.

2. Peter Black (South Wales West)

Add as new point at end of motion:

Notes that much of the support that people with autism and their parents/carers need is funded through the Welsh Assembly Government’s education, local government and social justice budgets, and that further cuts to these budgets would severely limit the ability to fund autism support.
