The National Assembly for Wales:

1) Expresses concern that patients across Wales do not have parity of access to medicines.

2) Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to take measures to improve accountability for drug provision decisions.

Regrets the Welsh Assembly Government’s decision to cut the budget for the Tir Gofal agri-environment scheme in order to fund organic conversion in Wales.

Add new point at end of motion:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to ensure that the savings from both the end of patents on common drugs and on the recent re-negotiation of drug prices is not re-allocated from the medicine budget until all avenues for funding high-cost, new drugs have been explored.
