The National Assembly for Wales welcomes the progress made on sustainable development in 2009-10 as set out in the Welsh Assembly Government’s Annual Report of the Sustainable Development Scheme, which was laid before the National Assembly for Wales on 21 September 2010.

Amendments tabled on 23 September 2010

To propose that the Assembly resolves to adopt the following amendments to motions:

1. Peter Black (South Wales West)

Add as new point at end of motion:

Believes that the Welsh Assembly Government’s subsidy for the north-south airlink does not match the ambitions of the Government’s Sustainable Development Scheme.

2. Nick Ramsay (Monmouthshire)

Add as new point at end of motion:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to endorse the recommendation of the Sustainable Development Commission Wales in the 2009-2010 Annual Report to ‘not only report on progress made on the headline Sustainable Development Indicators, but include also a suite of measurements on the effectiveness of the Welsh Assembly Government against its own performance objectives (across Government)’.

3. Nick Ramsay (Monmouthshire)

Add as new point at end of motion:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to clearly measure Sustainable Development performance against the One Wales commitments on an annual basis and report back to this Assembly.
