Item 4: Motion to approve a Legislative Consent Motion under Standing Order 26.4, in respect of the Child Poverty Bill

NDM4387 Leighton Andrews (Rhondda)

That the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 26.4, agrees that, in addition to the provisions referred to in motion NDM4246 (debated on 23 June 2009), those further provisions which have been brought forward in the Child Poverty Bill relating to free school meals, in so far as they fall within the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered by the UK Parliament

The motion was agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 7.35.

Item 5: Debate on the Physical Activity Action Plan

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:

Welcomes the Creating an Active Wales Strategic Action Plan, and supports its vision and direction for making sure that everybody benefits from being physically active.

Supports the aim of Fields of Trust to preserve playing fields in Wales to help increase physical activity levels in Wales.

Acknowledges the value people in Wales place upon their heritage and the distinctiveness of Welsh communities and welcomes the work the Heritage Minister is undertaking to promote 'sense of place’.
