Motion to suspend Standing Orders

NDM4159 Dafydd Elis-Thomas (Dwyfor Meirionnydd)

That the National Assembly for Wales in accordance with Standing Orders 35.6 and 35.8:


Suspends Standing Order 7.18 (i) and that part of Standing Order 6.10 that requires the weekly announcement under Standing Order 6.3 to constitute the timetable for business in Plenary for the following week, to allow the motions under Item 1 to be considered in Plenary on Tuesday 3 March 2009.

The motion was agreed in accordance with Standing Order 7.35

NNDM4160 Dafydd Elis-Thomas (Dwyfor Meirionnydd)

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 10.3, elects Jonathan Morgan (Conservative) and Nick Ramsay (Conservative) in place of David Melding (Conservative) and Darren Millar (Conservative) as members of the Audit Committee.

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 10.3 elects Alun Cairns (Conservative) as a member of the Business Committee in place of William Graham (Conservative).

NNDM4162 Dafydd Elis-Thomas (Dwyfor Meirionnydd)

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 10.3 elects Alun Cairns (Conservative) as a member of the Communities and Culture Committee in place of Paul Davies (Conservative).

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 10.3 elects Paul Davies (Conservative) as a member of the Enterprise and Learning Committee in place of Andrew RT Davies (Conservative).

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 10.3 elects Paul Davies (Conservative) as a member of Legislation Committee No 2 in place of Jonathan Morgan (Conservative).

Welcomes the Welsh Assembly Government's continuing efforts to alleviate the impact of the recession on Welsh families, businesses and communities.
