1) Expresses concern that patients across Wales do not have parity of access to medicines.

2) Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to take measures to improve accountability for drug provision decisions.

Regrets the Welsh Assembly Government’s decision to cut the budget for the Tir Gofal agri-environment scheme in order to fund organic conversion in Wales.

Motion to Suspend Standing Orders

That the National Assembly for Wales in accordance with Standing Orders 35.6 and 35.8:


Suspends Standing Order 7.18 (i), that part of Standing Order 7.19 which requires that amendments must be tabled at least 3 working days before the motion is to be debated and that part of Standing Order 6.10 that requires the weekly announcement under Standing Order 6.3 to constitute the timetable for business in Plenary for the following week, to allow the motion under Item 6 to be considered in Plenary on Wednesday 11 March 2009.

The motion was agreed in accordance with Standing Order 7.35

The National Assembly for Wales calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to re-examine its financial support for post-16 education.
