Item 7: Motion to approve a Welfare Reform Bill Legislative Consent Motion under Standing Order 26

NDM4206 Jane Hutt (Vale of Glamorgan)

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 26.4, agrees that the provisions of Part 2 of the Welfare Reform Bill (Disabled Persons: Right to Control Provision of Services), as introduced into the House of Lords on 18th March 2009, so far as those provisions fall within the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered by the UK Parliament.

The Motion was agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 7.35.

Item 8:  Debate on Climbing Higher - Creating an Active Wales Strategic Action Plan

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales

Welcomes the consultation on the draft Climbing Higher: Creating an Active Wales Strategic Action Plan, and supports its vision and direction for increasing levels of physical activity in Wales.

Add new point at end of motion:

"Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to work with Local Authorities & Fields in Trust to increase the available public space for outdoor activity, sport and allotments by bringing publicly held land & and brownfield sites back into use.”
