The National Assembly for Wales:

1. Welcomes the publication of the Assembly Government commissioned independent "Study to Examine the Planning Application Process in Wales”.

2. Notes the Welsh Assembly Government’s response to the study’s recommendations to improve the planning application process at the earliest opportunity.

Bilingual copies of the following documents were e-mailed to Assembly Members on 15 June 2010:

  • Study to Examine the Planning Application Process in Wales

  • Executive Summary

  • The Welsh Assembly Government's response to the recommendations of the research study

The following amendments were tabled:

Add new point at end of motion:

Urges the Welsh Assembly Government to agree a timetable to enact the stated improvements to the planning application process.
