To ask the First Minister
Andrew RT Davies (South Wales Central): Will the First Minister provide a breakdown of forecasted expenditure for each 'Carwyn Connects' event currently scheduled? (WAQ68909)
Answer received on 10 July 2015
The First Minister (Carwyn Jones): The first Carwyn Connect events are currently expected to cost around £913 + VAT for Merthyr and £798 + VAT for Rhyl. These costs include hourly rate for venue hire, PA system hire and teas and coffees for those attending.
Initial costings for the other meetings in the Carwyn Connect series indicate that the average cost of each event will be in the region of £1,000, as previously noted.
Andrew RT Davies (South Wales Central): With reference to the Welsh Government's 2011 programme for government, what proportion (expressed as a percentage) of the commitments are deemed to have been met? (WAQ68910)
Answer received on 10 July 2015
Carwyn Jones: As was reported in the final 2015 Programme for Government annual report, published on the 16 June 2015, 96 per cent of our Programme for Government commitments have either been delivered or are on track to be delivered.
To ask the Minister for Finance and Government Business
Andrew RT Davies (South Wales Central): How much has the Welsh Government spent on advertising space to promote or communicate the work of the Welsh Government, including a breakdown by medium? (WAQ68908)
Answer received on 14 July 2015
The Minister for Finance and Government Business (Jane Hutt):
Advertising by medium | April 2014- March 2015 | April 2015 - To date |
Outdoor (includes train, bus, poster sites) | £425,073 | £52,800 |
£575,927 | £122,236 |
These figures do not include routine government business, such as statutory traffic notices, job vacancies, and public appointments. The government's focus when advertising is around behaviour change and public information messages, such as those around the change in the law relating to organ donation.
