The Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing (Jane Davidson): The Supporting People programme is an important element of this Welsh Assembly Government’s agenda to tackle social exclusion, homelessness and community safety in Wales.

In 'One Wales; a progressive agenda for the government of Wales’, we gave a commitment to increase the funding to Supporting People over the coming four years.

The budget proposals for 2008-09 will be published later in the calendar year.

Following the publication, Assembly Members will be involved in debating these proposals.
