To ask the Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty

Andrew RT Davies (South Wales Central): Does the Minister plan to increase the childcare provision in Wales to 30 free hours a week as in England and will he enable it to be used in private nurseries? (WAQ68938)

Answer received on 24 July 2015

The Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty (Lesley Griffiths):

I am aware in England the UK Government is committed to provide 30 hours of free childcare to working parents of three to four year olds. I look forward to reviewing how the UK Government will deliver this and the details of any financial consequentials that may follow.
