To ask the Minister for Natural Resources

Llyr Gruffydd (North Wales): With reference to each of the following years: 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, will the Minister clarify what the budget is for the delivery each of the following projects: i) marine planning; ii) marine strategy framework directive; iii) new Common Fisheries Policy; iv) sustainable fisheries; v) marine protected Areas; and vi) effective evidence base? Llyr Gruffydd (North Wales): Will the Minister clarify what the budget is for the delivery of the Marine Transition Programme in each of the following years: 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017? (WAQ68405)

Llyr Gruffydd (North Wales): Will the Minister outline the number of staffing changes to the marine team and the number of staff employed to deliver against the Marine Transition Programme between financial years 2014-2015 and what this number will be in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017? (WAQ68406)

The Minister for Natural Resources (Carl Sargeant): The Marine Transition Programme (MTP) draws on resources and experience from within Welsh Government and also outside partner organisations. From a Welsh Government perspective the costs of the Marine Transition Programme and its associated projects are met from the Marine and Fisheries budget which is £1.32million in 2014-15 and planned at £1.32million for 2015/16 & 2016/17.

Staffing within the Welsh Government is a matter for the Permanent Secretary.

The Minister for Health and Social Services (Mark Drakeford):
Powys Teaching Health Board is working with local GPs on this. My officials maintain close contact with the Health Board on this issue.
