Samuel Kurtz was a Member of

achievements
Samuel is a strong advocate for
rural Wales and the Welsh Language. He is the current Vice Chair of
Pembrokeshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs and has won several
competitions at Welsh and National level, including public speaking, on stage
entertainments and rural affairs. Samuel is a keen sportsman who enjoys playing
cricket, rugby and football.
Personal history
Born and raised on the family
farm with self-catering holiday units in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast
National Park, Samuel is a Welsh speaker who attended local schools before
achieving a BA Hons in Politics from the University of the West of England,
Bristol.
Professional background
Upon graduating Samuel returned
to Pembrokeshire to work as a reporter for the Pembrokeshire Herald and Western
Telegraph before taking up a position within the office of the local Member of
Parliament.
Political history
Sam has represented the
Scleddau ward on Pembrokeshire County Council since 2017 and was elected to the
Senedd as the Member for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire in May 2021.
