has been a businessman for most of his life, and once owned Alice Springs Golf
Club in Monmouthshire.
Personal history
David
was born in the mining village of Argoed in the Sirhowy Valley. Argoed is Welsh
for ‘by a wood’ or ‘grove’. It was a typical Welsh Mining Community. David
attended Pontllanfraith Grammar School.
Political history
David
has been a member of UKIP for 17 years and has had two terms has Chair of UKIP
Wales. He is currently Chair of South Wales East Branch, having stepped down
from his role as Chair of Wales following his election to the National Assembly
for Wales.
