American Ambassador to address Assembly Committee

The United States Ambassador to Britain, His Excellency Robert Holmes Tuttle, will address the European and External Affairs Committee of the National Assembly for Wales at its next meeting on Wednesday February 28th. Mr Holmes Tuttle will give a presentation on relations between Wales and the United States of America. The Committee will also receive a presentation on the European Union’s Institutional Relations and Communications Strategy from EC Commissioner Margot Wallström who will address the committee via video conferencing. Also on the agenda is the First Minister’s Report on developments since the last meeting; including the Rural Development Plan and discussion on the committee’s annual report and legacy paper Chair of the Committee, Sandy Mewies AM, said “I am very pleased that Mr Holmes Tuttle has accepted the committee’s invitation to discuss America’s relationship with Wales and look forward to welcoming him to the National Assembly for Wales.” The meeting will take place at 9.30am on Wednesday February 28th in Committee Room 3, the Senedd Cardiff Bay.
