Deputy Presiding Officer to address Conference on New Legislative Powers in Wales 2007

Rosemary Butler AM, Deputy Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales will address a business forum examining “New Legislative Powers in Wales 2007: Opportunities & Threats” at the Wales Millennium Centre on Thursday November 8th Mrs Butler will deliver the key note address to the conference on the new legislative processes at the National Assembly and how business can contribute to introducing and scrutinising new legislation. Other speakers at the conference include Keith Bush, Director of Legal Services at the National Assembly for Wales and representatives from the CBI, Federation of Small Businesses, and the Institute of Welsh Affairs. Mrs Butler said: “I am delighted to have been asked to speak at such an important event. This conference provides an excellent opportunity to explore how business can contribute to the formation of new legislation and to the work of the Assembly itself in scrutinising Government, and I look forward to the opportunity to enlist the help of business leaders in working with the Assembly for the good of Wales.”
