North Wales Regional Committee established

On Wednesday November 7th, the Assembly agreed a motion to establish a North Wales Regional Committee, the membership of which comprises Members representing the region or constituencies within it.

The Assembly also agreed a motion of instruction to the North Wales Regional Committee that states:

1. The Committee shall only discuss devolved matters affecting the North Wales Electoral Region;

2. The Committee shall not meet more than once every Assembly term;

3. The Committee shall normally meet at the National Assembly offices at Colwyn Bay; and

4. Exceptionally, and only with the agreement of the Business Committee, the Regional Committee may meet at other venues in the North Wales Electoral Region subject to point 2 above.
