Presiding Officer to welcome Lord Wallace to the Senedd

The Presiding Officer for the National Assembly for Wales, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM, will welcome Lord Wallace of Tankerness QC to the Senedd today (28 September) on his visit to Wales.

Lord Wallace is a life peer in the House of Lords and the Advocate General for Scotland.

He was formerly Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, Member of Parliament (MP) for Orkney and Shetland, Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Orkney and the first Deputy First Minister of Scotland in the Scottish Executive.

During his visit, Lord Wallace will tour the Senedd with the Presiding Officer. Acting in his main role as Advocate General for Scotland, he will also meet with the leaders of the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats andthe Counsel General John Griffiths AM.
