Please note that the Senedd Commission has agreed that, due to the risks from COVID-19, all of the Senedd Estate will remain closed to the public until after the election in May 2021 at the earliest. Any in-person opportunities described on this page may not all be available at present but we hope to be able to run them again shortly. Our online opportunities continue to be available.
Schools and colleges - including youth groups - in Wales that are outside a 10-mile radius (20 mile return journey) of the Senedd in Cardiff Bay will receive a subsidy for their educational visit to the Senedd. Schools and colleges within a 10-mile radius of Cardiff Bay will not be eligible to apply for a subsidy.
Schools and colleges can claim one travel subsidy per academic year following an educational visit to the Senedd.
Schools and colleges cannot claim the travel subsidy if their visit is not pre-booked and conducted by the Senedd’s Education Officers.
Educational visits should be booked at least three weeks in advance. To arrange an education visit please contact us by email or by telephone on 0300 200 6565. Schools are advised to book early to avoid disappointment as available sessions will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
