Join us for 2 days of free fun-filled St David's Day celebrations at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March.
Enjoy a day full of culture, creativity and community, with activities and performances running all day - there's something for everyone!
- Unleash your creativity at one of our love spoon crafting workshops, get ready to juggle at a Circus Skills session, or dive into a seed planting workshop!*
- Enjoy the beautiful sounds of Welsh choirs, and other musical acts performing throughout the 2 days.
- Come and ‘Speak Rubbish’ during a litter pick with ‘Keep Wales Tidy’ – an opportunity to clean up the area and practice your Welsh at the same time!
- Learn about the upcoming election by joining one of our ‘Understand your vote’ session or Tour of the Senedd!*
- Enjoy the view over Cardiff Bay and start your day the right way by taking part in our free yoga session.*
- Enjoy a free Welsh cake with any hot drink purchased at our café (while stocks last).

Practice your Welsh whilst taking part in a litter pick around Cardiff Bay - everybody welcome!
11:00 – Performance from ‘Only Voices Aloud’ mixed children’s choir
10:30 – 15:00 – Circus Skills Workshop

Embrace the Spring with a seed planting workshop with ‘Grow Cardiff’ – you’ll be able to decorate your pot and take it home with you.

Enjoy a brand new production from ‘Mewn Cymeriad’, which will teach young people more about the Senedd in a vibrant and engaging way! Written by renowned writer Manon Steffan Ros, this is aimed for young adults aged 15+, but suitable for all!
This performance will be in Welsh.
13:00 – Performance by ‘Flamingo Chicks’
Experience a joyful and colourful dance performance from ‘Flamingo Chicks’ inclusive dance group.
14:00 – 15:00 – Sand Art Workshop
Try your hand at sand art by pouring colourful sand into St. David’s Day themed designs!
14:15 – 15:00 - ‘Understand your Vote’ Info Session*
15:00 – Chapter’s ‘Noson Lawen’ Folk Group Jamming Session
Bring along your folk instrument and join the ‘Noson Lawen’ crew from Chapter Arts Centre for a jamming session. Or simply come along and enjoy their performance!

10:00 – 10:45 – Vibes Yoga Session*
Start your morning in the best way with a 45-min yoga session run by Jenny from Vibes Yoga Vibes | Cardiff Yoga Studio | Yoga Cardiff, complete with glorious views over Cardiff Bay!
10:30 – 14:30 – ExperiMENTAL Science Workshop
Join ExperiMENTAL Science for a hands-on, family-friendly St. David’s Day themed science celebration.
Children can drop in and take part in a range of make-and-take science activities, including:
Welsh Flag Thaumatropes – a Victorian optical illusion
Dragon Rockets – exploring Newton’s laws
Chromatography Daffodils – science meets springtime
Balancing Baby Birds – forces and centre of gravity
All activities are suitable for young children aged 4+ and everything goes home with you.

11:00 – Performance from ‘Good Vibrations Chorus’
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama have partnered with Parkinsons UK to create a singing group to help people better manage their Parkinson’s symptoms – come along and enjoy their musical performance.
