NDM4014 William Graham (South Wales East): The future of the prison service in Wales

NDM4015 William Graham (South Wales East)

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to:

a) Show its' commitment to community pharmacy by rolling out the enhanced services of the pharmacy contract;

b) Ensure that NHS reorganisation does not prevent the commissioning of further community pharmacy services; and

c) Provide a deadline for the introduction of the consolidated regulations.

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 22.50:

Agrees that Janet Ryder may lay a proposed Order, to give effect to the outline proposed Order provided on 28 September 2007 under Standing Order 22.48, and an Explanatory Memorandum.

To propose that the Assembly resolves to adopt the following amendments to motions:

NDM4015

1. Kirsty Williams (Brecon and Radnorshire)

Add as new point 1, and renumber accordingly:

The National Assembly for Wales notes:

a) the role of community pharmacists in delivering services when patients need them; and

b) the criticism of the home oxygen service since the introduction of the new contract.

2. Kirsty Williams (Brecon and Radnorshire)

At end of sub-point b) insert:

'and ensure that there is community pharmacy representation at the appropriate high level in any new NHS structure’

3. Kirsty Williams (Brecon and Radnorshire)

Add new point at end of motion:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to examine the possibility of amending regulations to ensure there is no harmful competition between community pharmacists and GPs for NHS dispensing in rural areas.

4. Kirsty Williams (Brecon and Radnorshire)

Add new point at end of motion:

Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to provide a deadline for the introduction of the consolidated regulations. WITHDRAWN
