Breathe Easy Week 2008

This Assembly supports the British Lung Foundation’s Breathe Easy Week  (16 - 22 June, 2008)

Acknowledges that pulmonary rehabilitation classes are important for improving the quality of life of patients with lung disease.

Recognizes that the benefits of such classes are only maintained if exercise is continued afterwards.

Welcomes the BLF Get Active initiative which helps people with lung disease to take part in specially tailored exercise programmes.

Calls upon the Assembly to ensure improved access to pulmonary rehabilitation across the whole of Wales as set out in paragraph 3.6 of the Service Development and Commissioning Directives for Chronic Respiratory Conditions
