A fair global response to the climate change crisis

The National Assembly recognises that climate change is already costing lives and destroying livelihoods, homes and food sources in the world's poorest regions.

We call on world leaders attending the climate summit in Copenhagen in December to agree measures that will radically reduce carbon emissions to safer levels. We would also urge them to provide adequate aid to developing nations to help them adapt to, and mitigate the effects of climate change.

We pledge to play our part by stepping up efforts to reduce Welsh carbon emissions in line with a 40% overall reduction in Europe-wide emissions by 2020.
