End the Tax on Breathing

The National Assembly for Wales supports the Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK and the British Lung Foundation’s campaign to end the restrictions and charges that airlines place on people with a lung condition.

People with respiratory diseases require additional oxygen when travelling and less than a quarter of airlines supply free supplementary oxygen. Costs range from £50 to £500 per trip.

The National Assembly for Wales believes that people with lung conditions should have the same opportunities to travel as other people and urges all the airlines that have not already done so to drop charges and restrictions on supplementary oxygen.
