Micro Chipping Pets

This Assembly:

Welcomes the Kennel Club’s National Microchipping Month (NMM) which runs throughout June;

Recognises that National Microchipping Month promotes responsible pet ownership and microchipping is the preferred method of permanent pet identification;

Encourages microchipping to help trace pets and return them to their owners more effectively, reducing the kennelling costs to local authorities.

Acknowledges that the microchip system can only be fully effective if pets’ details are kept up to date and are scanned regularly;

And therefore encourages all owners to have their pets microchipped.
