This Assembly congratulates the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on its successful hosting of the 38th Ryder Cup. Overcoming challenging weather conditions, the contributions of tournament organisers, ground staff, volunteers, spectators and players lead to a spectacular Ryder Cup watched by a television audience of over a billion.

The Assembly is determined to build upon the platform hosting the tournament has created, boosting the profile of the City of Newport and Wales and encouraging it as a destination for tourism and investment.
