Jobs Growth Wales and Young Disabled People

This Assembly:

Notes that there are a large number of unemployed disabled young people in Wales, with 10,000 on ESA or Incapacity Benefit with many more on JSA; and

that the Jobs Growth Wales scheme can help disabled people who may have a lack of qualifications and/or work experience gain employment;

Welcomes that Welsh Government’s actions to make Jobs Growth Wales accessible to disabled young people; and

Believes that the best way to include disabled young people in the scheme is to ensure that Jobs Growth Wales aims to reach a set minimum number of young disabled people.
