Make St David’s Day a Public Holiday

The National Assembly for Wales:

Notes St. Andrew’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day are public holidays established in law in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively;

Believes that St. David’s Day is one of significant historical and cultural importance to Wales;

Notes that the National Assembly voted unanimously in 2000 in favour of making St. David’s Day a public holiday;

Believes the Welsh Government should make representations to the UK government calling for an additional public holiday for Wales on March 1st.
