Higgs boson particle discovery

This Assembly:

Notes the exciting news from CERN of the discovery of a particle consistent with the Higgs boson theory;

Congratulates the team and in particular Aberdare born scientist Dr Lyn Evans who led the development until 2010; and

Believes that the work of the Large Hadron Collider demonstrates both the value of international peaceful scientific co-operation and investment in STEM subjects in schools and universities.
