London Olympic and Paralympic Games

This Assembly notes that:

38 Welsh Athletes have been selected for the Paralympics GB Team for the London 2012 Paralympic Games and will compete across 13 sports.

This coincides with a record number of Welsh athletes selected for Team GB in the London Olympics;

This represents the largest contingent of Welsh athletes to have been selected for a Paralympics Games, 19 of whom are first-time Paralympians;

This continues Wales' proud tradition as one of the most prominent Paralympic nations in the world; and

Wishes both the GB Olympic and Paralympic teams every success in London this Summer.
