International Credit Union Day 2012, Thursday 18th October 2012

The National Assembly for Wales:

Welcomes International Credit Union Day, Thursday 18th October 2012, celebrating the huge success of Credit Unions in Wales.

Congratulates Credit Unions for providing a safe, sustainable and inclusive alternative to unscrupulous legal loan sharks.

Notes that there are now 22 credit unions covering the whole of Wales providing services to more than 55,000 adults and young savers.
