Foster Care Fortnight 2013

This Assembly:

Supports Foster Care Fortnight 2013, the Fostering Network’s annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and the UK's biggest foster carer recruitment campaign.

Recognises that tonight, across the UK, enough children to fill the Olympic Stadium will spend the night in care, with around 4,400 in Wales.

Notes that 600 new foster carers are needed across Wales to provide loving and supportive homes for some of our most vulnerable children.  

Recognises the excellent work done by the Fostering Network Wales over the last decade standing up for foster carers and vulnerable young people in care in Wales.
