Nepal Earthquake

This Assembly:

Notes with concern that the government in Nepal has had to declare a state of national emergency following a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake which has caused the death of more than 3,700 people and left many thousands homeless;

Recognises Wales's longstanding relationship with the people of Nepal; and

Calls on the people of Wales, as well as other nations, to support the work of DEC member agencies and other NGOs in their effort to deliver humanitarian aid and support communities in Nepal to rebuild.
