EU Referendum

This Assembly:

1. Notes the UK Government's commitment to a referendum on our membership of the EU.

2. Recognises the importance of allowing the public time to fully consider the issues and implications surrounding the EU referendum debate.

3. Recognises the importance of ensuring focused and adequate debate on the issues facing the people of Wales, the Assembly and the Welsh Government prior to the 2016 election.

4. Calls on the UK Government to ensure that the EU referendum is not held on the same day, nor in the run-up to, the Assembly election in May 2016.
